We hope that this latest appeal will not end in the trash like so many others and finally be taken into due consideration, thereby protecting our legitimate interests of taxpayers and citizens of a State, even a small fraction of a small island in the deep South, should make his presence felt.
With DM 08.11.2005 issued from this divine Dear Ministry (Department of Internal Affairs and Regional - Central Local Finance) and subsequent authorization to reschedule (Ordinance No. 3508 / 6 of 6 April 2006) is assigned Euro 2,540,000.00 for "urgent work of arrangement and environmental regeneration of the coastline of Acquacalda village of Lipari. In September 2008, the ATI
Ciro Menotti in Ravenna, awarded the tender on 1 lot (300 linear meters of shoreline) gave the start to the work which, unfortunately, Jan. 7, 2009, in fact, were suspended and never resumed . In July 2009, Ciro Menotti brought an action against the Municipal Administration for late payment
the 1st and 2nd SAL of € 886,173.15 comp. VAT, for termination of the contract.
At the moment the situation is this: the site is abandoned, has been spent to about 50% of the race, the paltry amount of material that was designed to form the submerged reef lies piled on the shoreline at the mercy of strong storms that continue to wreak damage and distress.
Gone miserably-load all attempts to protect our interests, we ask:

Even our last appeal,'s invitation, Mr. President, October 23, 2009, fell on deaf ears.
We regret to note that what has happened, happens and will happen to Acquacalda and its inhabitants did not raise any interest in the political class. Interest, which, in contrast, suddenly wakes up at the approach of elections. But we well aware that, unfortunately, this is not a new fact or, still less, limited to a few politicians.
What angers us most is the absolute inertia exposed by his administration against our village, seeing the many and now a new problem, we make daily life very difficult, remain unsolved miserably in the sight of all, and if possible, worse.
What value are the many promises, proclamations, commissions and missions of experts, if we all remain unchanged?
What happened to the task force that would monitor the entire archipelago?
- and work for the safety of the road network provincial and particularly Acquacalda Porticello ", which she calls, already February 17, 2009," projects "and funding (approximately three million euro as your letter No. 41115, 30. 12. 2008)? All questions that are left without any concrete solution, despite our numerous appeals, demonstrations and protests.
The continuous up against this wall of rubber aggravates it and leads us to the progressive total lack of trust in authority should administer both locally, at both central and leads us to reject, as of now, the hypocrite presence of any delegations contrite "state funeral".
