Acquacalda organized the meeting, very large, participated, representing the municipality, the Deputy Mayor for Public Works Rag. Gianni Corrado.
Credit is due to the deep sense of civic duty shown by the participants, thanks to which, despite the understandable state of exasperation, it has been quietly analyzing the dramatic situation, as everyone knows, that the organizers of the fully satisfied, thank you very much.
After a quick review of what the Committee did in its first three months activity (coast, place names, street address, stray), the President focused predominantly on the subject of the meeting: the serious decay of the area "rock".
stressed that the chasm has occurred due to the lack of action by the competent authorities (which, over the years, they have monitored the apparent evolution of progressive erosion of the ridge) and not for the passage of heavy vehicles ( which certainly accelerated the process landslides), were formulated some specific questions to which the Councillor has provided adequate and Gianni official answers.
1) Starting from next Monday 17 in the afternoon, the company will activate the required Urso minibus shuttle service between the cemetery area and the pit area, to foster links with reeds.
2) By the day of Monday, the City Council, on receipt of the tenders for the award of the contract work of highest priority (straps on the switchbacks) to enable them to begin by the middle of the current week. The duration of such work should not exceed ten working days.
3) is expected by the authorities regional, national, and then, the declaration of a state of calamity for the entire area Acquacalda. Only after such declaration, the Committee and all those concerned will deal with relevant bodies on the implementation of interventions for the final securing of the whole, giving due consideration to the priority of initiatives aimed at safeguarding the dwellers more concerned and their housing stock.
4) According to recent surveys done, there appears to compromise the water supply system. It is therefore no basis for the widespread alarm in the population.
5) 5) Tuesday 18, during the periodic inspection the construction site on the coast, DL Ing.Sutera will be contacted because we can define the steps to be taken against opposition to the use of pontoons for the completion of the barrier to protect the waterfront. Unanimously it believes that, even with due respect for the environment in which we live, predominates protect those who live on the waterfront, lives and works. In this regard, the Committee will work tirelessly for the revision of the current work (by land) by making, on the contrary, by suitable means from the sea (pontoons and / or the like).

In thanking all participants, especially Don Pino in his capacity as Honorary Chairman of the Committee, the President has sought to emphasize by pointing out that the stubborn commendable public spirit, demonstrated during the meeting, should not be perceived as tired resignation .
The Committee, together with all citizens of Acquacalda, supervise with stubborn focus on the evolution of events, pressing the authorities without any hesitation.
